Experience

Throughout his 30 year career, Joe has worked as both a consultant and senior executive with a number of Australian and North American resource development and mineral processing companies. His high level and broad ranging experience stands him in good stead when working with Response Australia's clients.

One of Joe's key roles was General Manager Employee Relations with Century Zinc Ltd in which he established the Century Team Structure and People Systems including development of a new employee relations strategy. While at Century Zinc, Joe also conducted land rights negotiations with local indigenous people, a key element in establishing the basis for certain projects to proceed.

Consulting projects Joe has conducted include:

  • Organisation effectiveness reviews for companies across Australia, Canada, USA, Jamaica, Mexico and Argentina
  • Organisation redesign project for a major Australian mining and minerals processing company
  • Organisational redesign project for a major Australian financial institution
  • A number of major development projects, with a combined value of A$3 billion, to develop project industrial relations strategies and provide ongoing advice
  • Team leadership and membership skills development for all employees in a major Australian company
  • An internal project within a major Australian company to develop and implement a new HR strategy directed at establishing a much more effective way of managing the business through people.
